CANDIDATE PROFILE:
  • The candidate should have completed a degree preferably in a scientific, technical or Computer Science from any recognized university.
  • Should have knowledge of Basic Linux system administration (installation methods, networking, firewall, security, clustering, web servers, and databases using Linux).
  • Should have well developed writing and English speaking skills and deep understanding of Linux/Unix and Open Source.
  • Should have the ability of conveying information concisely and clearly to all levels of client.
  • Should be comfortable working in Shifts.
  • Scripting abilities preferred (Perl/Python/Bash).
  • Prior RHCE or other Red Hat Certifications would be considered a huge advantage.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • As a Technical Support Engineer, the selected candidate will provide technical support to customers by taking incoming calls and responding to web-based inquiries.
  • Perform diagnostics of problems, troubleshoot and develop solutions for customer issues.
  • Exceed customer expectations with outstanding customer service.
  • Consult with and develop relationships with in-house engineers and developers to drive creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to global Red Hat knowledge management system in the process of working customer issues.
